This report highlights the implementation of the project “Citizen Complaints Against the Judiciary: Towards Greater Transparency and Accountability of the Judiciary to the Public,” led by a consortium of three organizations with support from USAID’s Rule of Law Program. The project aimed to promote a more accountable and transparent judiciary by enhancing public involvement in monitoring judicial conduct and improving mechanisms for handling citizen complaints. Key elements included monitoring complaints mechanisms, analyzing legal frameworks, and increasing public awareness and participation in judicial inspections. Objectives included assessing complaint statistics, improving complaint procedures, informing the public about complaint processes, involving stakeholders in reform proposals, and raising public awareness about judicial oversight.
