ACER held a forum on 27th of February 2024, titled: “Strengthening the Oversight Role of the Legislature in the Evaluation of Corruption Opportunities of the Draft Law on Protected Areas”.
This forum was held by ACER in collaboration with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) within the project: “Increasing Government Accountability through a More Responsive Parliament”, funded by the British Embassy in Tirana.
The participants explored the problems that will follow the procedure that was used in the approval of the draft law on protected areas, the concern of civil society organisations for insufficient consultation, the reactions of international institutions as well as the potential risks related to its implementation.
