The event took place within the framework of the project “Increasing Government Accountability through a More Responsive Parliament,” supported by the British Embassy in Tirana.
The roundtable brought together policymakers, academics, media representatives, and civil society members to discuss anti-corruption best practices and possible measures to enhance the performance of the Albanian legislature in this regard. Participants also identified potential legislative interventions to close loopholes related to conflict of interest in the legislative process.
Attendees explored best practices from the Balkan countries and beyond, and familiarized themselves with the methodology and key findings of two working documents on anti-corruption and conflict of interest.
