The Albanian Center for Economic Research (www.acer.org.al), a civil society organization, expresses its deep concern over the coordinated attacks, particularly in the past two days, against SPAK. ACER calls on civil society organizations and the public to stand in support of SPAK, the most trusted institution in all domestic and international surveys and evaluations over the past five years. We urge the governing justice institutions, particularly the High Prosecutorial Council (KLP), the High Judicial Council (KLGJ), and the Justice Inspector General, to take institutional action. We also call on the European Union, the United States, and other allied governments, strong supporters of justice reform, to respond to the current situation and reaffirm their commitment to its implementation.

Furthermore, ACER invites other civil society organizations in Albania to join this statement, considering it a defense of the public interest and a shared mission to strengthen the rule of law and ensure a just and livable Albania for all its citizens.
