This infographic has been prepared for the CPL on the draft amendments to Law No. 58/2022 on Technological and Scientific Parks. The CPL identified significant concerns related to transparency, accountability, and fiscal risks. The draft law was not subject to public consultation, lacks adequate justification and supporting data, and fails to properly assess its financial implications. Although its stated objectives are already covered by existing legislation, the CPL highlights potential undeclared aims, expanded fiscal incentives, and risks of favouritism, fiscal evasion, and distortion of competition, raising serious concerns about the protection of the public interest.
